Gleam Privacy Policy

Last Updated & Effective Date: May 6, 2026

At Gleam, privacy is the foundation of everything we build. As your local-first color memory companion, we designed our app to put you in full control of your photos, palettes, and personal data from day one. This policy explains exactly what (if any) information we collect, how we handle it, and the steps we take to keep your creative work private.

✨ Local First Privacy Guarantee

100% of photo processing, palette generation, and saved palette storage happens directly on your personal device. We never upload, collect, or store your personal photos, custom palettes, or app usage behavior to external servers. Your color inspiration stays completely private, on your device, under your control at all times.

What Information We Collect

Information we collect automatically: None

Gleam requires no account to use, and we do not track, collect, or transmit any personal data, device identifiers, usage analytics, or creative content from your device by default. No hidden data flows, no silent tracking, no behind-the-scenes data sharing.

Information you choose to share with us voluntarily

The only time we receive personal information from you is if you choose to reach out to our team directly via email, for example to submit feedback, report a bug, or request a feature. In these cases, we will only receive the name, email address, and additional information you voluntarily include in your message. We only use this information to respond to your inquiry and improve the Gleam app for all users.

How We Use Your Information

Third Party Services

The current version of Gleam does not integrate any third-party advertising SDKs, data tracking tools, or analytics services. If we add optional third-party features in future updates (such as anonymous crash reporting to help us fix bugs faster), these features will be fully opt-in, disabled by default, and we will clearly disclose what data is collected and how it is used before you choose to enable them.

Your Data Control Rights

Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy occasionally to reflect new features or changes to our practices. We will notify all users of any changes via in-app notification at least 30 days before the updated policy takes effect. Your continued use of Gleam after the new policy takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the updated policy, you can stop using Gleam at any time by uninstalling the app.

Contact Us

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests related to this privacy policy, you can reach the Gleam team anytime at contact@usegleam.com. We respond to all user messages as quickly as possible.
